(Breast)Milk Bath For Baby!

Sunday, October 23, 2016

A breastmilk bath for baby is something I've been wanting to try since I had my firstborn because of all the benefits I read about online. Unfortunately, I didn't really have much excess in supply when I was breastfeeding Kayla and whatever milk I had stored in the fridge was just enough for her to drink.

This time though (I'm guessing my prenatal massage has helped in some way), I actually produced enough milk to have a few excess packs to do a milk bath for Tiffany! I think its something you have to do for the baby constantly to see better effects, but her flaking skin did become better after the bath :)

So basically, all you have to do is to take a few packs of breastmilk (depending on the size of your baby, I used about 300ml) and mix it with some hot/warm water. The consistency should look like the above picture, cloudy but not too diluted.

I've seen other parents fill up tubs of this for older kids to soak in, but since Tiffany is really small and unable to lie down in the tub without support, I decided her sponge her down instead.

Here's Tiffany getting her milk bath! ♥︎

Benefits Of Breastmilk Bath
- Treat an ear infection. Those amazing antibodies in your breast milk can fight off ear infections, which occur most often in children ages 6 months to 18 months
- Clear up acne
- Soothe teething pain
- Heal diaper rash
- Heal cuts and scrapes

I'm currently in the midst of trying to store more milk for Tiffany's second breastmilk bath :D Would want to try making momsicals next time for her as well hehe

  4. Breastmilk is supposed to be good for the skin. It contains a bunch of antibodies that help heal damaged skin and also makes skin softer than using a mild soap. Check out this link for other cures/remedies Breastmilk can do! http://www.simplyrealmoms.com/posts/33-uses-for-breast-milk/

  5. Hi do you know that ohnson’s Baby Milk Bath nourishes and moisturizes while gently cleansing baby’s skin. It has 100% more milk proteins and Vitamins A and E that gives the proper nourishment so skin stays moisturized for extended periods of time, long after bathing.
These are the reasons why I use it too!!!
I’m telling you, Johnson’s Baby Milk Bath is also good for mommies!
After using it, I noticed a change talaga in my dry skin. It’s smoother to touch and feels healthier. My skin’s a lot like Anika’s now. Baby na baby sa smoothness and softness! It’s gentle so it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. It also smells really good! Alvin loves the smell on me! *wink!*
Many women might think that Johnson’s Milk Bath is only made for babies. Ay noooo… Mommies can also use this! Mommies and babies can benefit with the goodness of this milk bath. For practical mommies like me, who was used to using the bar soap, might think that using a liquid wash can be wasteful or expensive. Actually, I noticed that Johnson’s milk bath lathers quickly. Konti lang ang kelangan ilagay sa sponge (around a size of a five peso coin), bubula na ng bongga. With only that amount of liquid, my whole body is cleansed and moisturized. Sulit right? Not only that, since you and your baby can now share using the Johnson Milk Bath, it’s very, very easy na to shop! Less hassle!
I really love Johnson’s Baby Milk Bath for me and Anika.

I think your Kayla can use this for her milk bath too!!
