Shangri-La Singapore Staycation 2019
We're back from a most incredible staycation with Shangri-la Singapore!
What made the whole experience so fun for both the kids and I was.... this Family Themed Suite!!
The moment we saw this Submarine bed.. all of us went cray cray hahaha
So now we're going to share our whole experience here and also why we feel that this suite is worth the hefty (from $1200/night) pricetag :)
The experience starts from the moment you step into this beautiful lobby.. all kids are gifted these cute squirrel plushies to accompany them through their stay! How cute is that
Our first stop before heading to our room was this exclusive shared family pantry reserved only for 9th floor guests. Everything in here is available for loan throughout your stay! There's also washing machines, dryers and ironing facilities if you need to do your laundry.
For families travelling with babies, you don't have to worry about packing lots of stuff for your little one because there's literally everything you need here! Cots, rockers, strollers, baby chairs (all Stokke brand), sterilisers, bottle drying racks, nightlight and even diapers (AND swim diapers omg!)
I really like this service because all mummies know it's such a hassle to pack for babies that sometimes you'd rather forego a vacation and stay home lol. So this helps SOOO much!
And now comes the exciting part... the suite!!
There's only 5 themed suites in the whole hotel, each with a different theme. And outside each suite is a kid's mailbox hehe (btw, these suites are very popular, so book early to avoid disappointment!)
So just before entering the room the kid's can start guessing the theme of their room and find little surprises in their mailbox!
Once you enter the room.. you'll see the adults side of room.. imagine the kids' slight disappointment hahaha
They were like "huh this is our room?"
BUT for us adults this plush room is perfect!! Comes complete with a dining area and state of the art amenities!
You can easily cook for your kids in your room if you wish!
And there's this tiny kid-sized door next to your bed that leads to the kid's room!
This was really so fun for them haha.. don't worry for adults there's a normal entrance to the other room that doesn't require you to crawl hehe
The moment they saw their epic Submarine bed.. it was non-stop climbing and playing haha.. there's even this driver's seat at the front of the bed!
Tiffany immediately claimed the cozy lower bunk bed as hers!
There's sliding doors in front of the TV as well for moments when you want to limit their screen time! Super thoughtful
There are 2 bathrooms in the suite, one for adults and one for children!

There's a huge tub that can fill 3 kids hehe, and the toilet bowl comes with an attached child seat as well! Amenities like baby bathtub, kid's toothbrush + toothpaste, kid's stool, kid's bathrobes and slippers and even a special hairdryer that will not burn your kid's hair is included!
Post bath in their kiddie robes and slippers!
And I love that there's this extra bedroom in the kid's room for your helper or caregiver -
Privacy for both the helper and your family when needed hehe
All families staying at the themed suites are entitled to unlimited access to this huge indoor playground downstairs - Buds by Shangrila!
Any child will absolutely LOVE this playground! It's not only huge and extremely fun.. there are ongoing art & craft workshops that they can join too!

And finally we had a sumptuous in-room breakfast before checking out.. the kids and I were honestly so sad to leave! We'll definitely be back again and highly recommend all families to experience these themed suites at least once. Perfect for a birthday getaway!
