Week 31 Pregnancy
It's week 31 and I pretty much feel like a giant ball of a human waddling around everyday, not exactly the best feeling in the world but I guess this is pregnancy :) Yesterday I felt my first pelvic pain/ache while I was out and it honestly shocked me, ended up limping back to the car. I don't really know how to describe it, guess mommies who've been through this would know the feeling. It was a lot better by the time I got home but my entire hip and butt area was aching like crazy. I realised that adding an additional pillow under my lower-back/butt and also using an ice pack did help though, and thank God I was able to fall asleep despite the aches! Read that insomnia is one of the major complaints by moms going through their third trimester.
Am happy this week because we got to see baby! Was super worried for 2 days while waiting for the diabetes test results because our gynae told us that Kayla is too small for her age. She's supposed to be 1.5kg-1.8kg for 30 weeks and she's only 1.3kg O.O It's either she's not getting enough oxygen, diabetes or that she's just genetically small. Did the CTG immediately and thank God her heartbeat's fine. Then we just had to wait for the diabetes test results, which was negative amen! So Kayla's just a small sized girl which is totally fine by me :D
D & I have been watching a lot of Modern Family lately as well, highly recommend this show for moms to be! Haha we've been imagining ourselves and Kayla in all sorts of weird scenarios from the show and how we'd deal with it. And.. Lily's personality is totally my dream child personality! She's so cute and so mean, it's so funny hehe ♥︎
( this is Lily )
That's all for my week31 update!

ReplyDeleteI believe that you have already familiar with the matters relating to the aches and pains in your stomach and pelvis during pregnancy! However, what is abdominal pain or cramps during pregnancy?
ReplyDeleteAches and pains happen during pregnancy, but when you’re getting them in your belly, you might start wondering if something’s wrong with your baby. The good news is: Baby’s probably just fine.
What could be causing my abdominal pain during pregnancy?
Lower abdominal cramping is just one of those things that happen (yep -- another one) when a baby is growing in your belly. The most likely explanation? Round ligament pain. See, your uterus is getting bigger every day (so is baby!), and the muscles and ligaments supporting it are stretching out to accommodate the changes. That stretching can bring a bit of pain, especially when you change positions, cough or are particularly active. These mild aches and jabs are normal and (sorry!) may persist as your uterus continues to grow.
Less likely causes of abdominal pain or cramps include digestive issues like constipation, food poisoning and gas, and pregnancy problems like ectopic pregnancy and preterm labor.
When should I go to the doctor with my abdominal pain during pregnancy?
You don’t need to worry unless the pain is severe, constant or accompanied by bleeding or other unusual signs. If you have any of these symptoms, call your doctor right away.
What should I do to treat my abdominal pain during pregnancy?
If it’s round ligament pain, to get some relief, scale back your physical activity and avoid cramp-inducing positions. Also try a warm bath, or simply stretch out and kick up your heels -- resting comfortably should ease the pain. If it’s some other condition, your doc will point you in the right direction.

My second one I had the same pains your talking about.. They were awful and I went to L&D and they said they were round ligament pain due to the stretching.. I'm Prego with my third and have yet to have them and I'm 5 months in.. Knock on wood.. My first also no signs. All pregnancies are different. Hope your feeling better soon. Take it easy.. :-)

Hi I am Bella, I am having 1 child and expecting my next angel baby's arrival....
ReplyDeleteI am over 31 weeks now and I was having the same thing as you were last night. Mine was constant though. It was super bad. The doctor told me it could be the baby being head down now. Or if you pulled something from cleaning a lot or something. But I had gas and I was constipated and didn't know it. Now it's gone lol.
All the best to you,
Bella

Ye, this little Lily's is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI was watching this lovely video from youtube early this week : (Oops I let the cow in...)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5H7uMq3mS8
A little 5 years old girl has realized early on in life that being adorable gets you everywhere — especially when it comes to explaining how on earth a cow ended up in your house. This video went viral and now hits 4,214,534 people. Many are amazed of how she uses her cuteness to avoid trouble for letting cow into the house! She is so adorable that no one can resist her charms.
However, there are negative comments come with it:
"If you have trained animals such as I have, you'd know the dangers of anthropomorphism. But when this cow hurts the kid, somehow it will be the cows fault, while in reality the cow was merely acting instinctively. This mother is instilling this behavior as acceptable. If the cows moved and crushed the kid, I doubt a few people could move her. Before anyone praises, perhaps they should look into this. Animals change daily. They can also spook easily for no reason.. Dangerous. Stupid. "- Joe Katon1 week ago
Anyway, do enjoy your happy and full of funs family time, and much more to come with your little Kayla around!
