Singapore Bridal Studios [Part 1] - Ted Wu / Blessed Brides / French Wedding

Thursday, January 23, 2014

I recently started my hunt for bridal gowns! And gosh, it's a lot more tedious than I expected. Here are some reviews of the bridal studious I've visited.. :)

Ted Wu

This is actually the first studio we went to together! One of my closest friends and bridesmaid joined us in our hunt, and I cannot emphasise more on how valuable a girlfriend's opinion is!

The designs at Ted Wu were beautiful, and you can really see the quality of their gowns in the details and fabrics they used. A lace gown can end up looking really plain in pictures, so they actually sewed in bits of silver detail to enhance the lace so it'll look prettier under bright flashes! Genius, yes? I personally felt that Ted Wu's designs would be perfect for brides seeking classic or vintage looks. I tried on a full lace gown as well as a classic A-line ball gown. They also have a beautiful evening gown in Valentino red :) I also loved their service! Very thoughtful and not pushy at all.

Snagged some pictures off their Facebook ♥︎

Blessed Brides

Visited Blessed Brides yesterday, and the service was amazing. They were also kind enough to let me take photos to share with you guys!

Blessed Brides carries mainly gowns from Pronovias, a reknown bridal brand from Barcelona. They even carry the latest 2014 collection! The gowns were also beautiful and of high quality. Overall, I felt that the gowns here would be most suited for brides looking for something dreamy and soft. Blessed Brides also specialises in made-to-measure pieces, ideal for brides who would like to customise their own gowns!

Here's me in a few of the gowns I tried :D

This is a Pronovias gown with a laced bodice

A piece from the White By Vera Wang collection

Satin gown from Pronovias

The one I liked best out of all I've tried, from Pronovias' latest collection. The lightest gown I've tried on so far, incredibly easy to walk in :)

French Wedding

After visiting the two studios at Tanjong Pagar we still had some time left before the shops closed so we decided to pop by French Wedding to take a look. The gowns were okay, nothing really caught my eye and the quality was quite average. The service was somewhat disappointing though. We were served by one of the designers who seemed distracted. And after trying on the gowns, she didn't even bother to help me pin down the back so I could see how the gown would look when it's in my size.

So that's it for part 1 of my bridal studio reviews, hope this was helpful! Will be visiting more studios this coming weekend and my experience here as well ♥︎
