My Berjaya Tioman Resort Photo Diary

Hello! I'm back from a 3D2N trip at Tioman and I had an amazing time :) It's my first time visiting this beautiful island, and my stay at Berjaya Tioman Resort made it so much better. 

Many thanks to Berjaya Tioman Resort for organising this trip and planning all the fun activities for us!

Tioman is a small densely forested island surrounded by numerous coral reefs. This tiny island is a haven for divers around the region, especially from Singapore - just 6hrs away 

We took a coach from Newton to the ferry terminal (Berjaya Jetty Tanjung Gemuk / Mersing), and then took a private ferry by Berjaya Resort to the island. 

Berjaya Tioman Resort is currently the largest and most luxurious one on the island. This huge estate offers a wide variety of rooms from their spacious Junior Suites to Standard Chalet Rooms for the budget traveller. 

For this trip, we got to stay in a comfortable beachfront deluxe chalet

This was literally steps from our room!

When it's low tide 

Be prepared for lots of photo ops because the beach at Berjaya Resort is private - only guests are allowed here so it's clean and not too crowded :)

There are a number of activities available at the resort as well - so on day 2 we went kayaking :)

We kayaked all the way to the snorkelling site, the waters were so clear we got to see fishes and corals without entering the water hehe

For those who are more adventurous, you can snorkel or dive instead! 

Tioman is actually home to over 130 species of corals and 300 species of fishes and is also regarded as one of the finest dive destinations in Malaysia

Another activity we got to do is Jungle Trekking!

We saw a couple of chameleons hehe

The trek was pretty insane, there wasn't any real "pathway" so we were literally climbing rocks and trying to avoid bugs and poison ivys haha. It was a great experience for me though because I'm not a sporty person and this is the first time I've attempted something like this! Definitely should try at least once :)

And I must say.. the food was great! I loved every meal hehe

And not forgetting the beautiful tree-lined pathways all over the resort..
